JCT Kitchen and Bar Launches Sunday Brunch

JCT Kitchen & Bar’s menu and a Bloody Mary

Apple cider donuts, scrambled eggs with lump crab meat, and a Bloody Mary with a side of bacon. Welcome to brunch at JCT Kitchen & Bar.

In October, the Midtown Atlanta eat spot began serving it’s two prix-fixe menu options — one priced at $19 and the other at $24 for heartier options. Recently, JCT invited me to sample the dishes and drinks that are part of the menu for myself. (So, yes friends, this meal was complimentary.)

When my boyfriend and food-sampling-partner-in-crime, Jamie, and I arrived at the restaurant we were promptly greeted with the offer to order a cocktail. We’re both firm believers in the health benefits of tomato juice and opted for Bloody Marys that did not disappoint. (The tiny dill pickle garnish was especially tasty.)

As part of any brunch meal, guests get to enjoy prosciutto and melon and a sampling of pastries that includes melt-in-your-mouth apple cider donuts, biscuits, and muffins. I’m telling you — it takes effort to not fill up on these tastes before the main events arrive.

For us, said main events were the scrambled eggs with lump crab meat and the eggs Benedict (with a side of bacon — because, why not?). Both Jamie and I were delighted with our choices and left the meal feeling fat and happy. If the egg options aren’t really your thing, don’t worry. You can also choose from dishes like hotcakes, shrimp and grits, and chicken-fried chicken. Actually, it was one of those rare brunches where we were impressed by every bite and sip that we took.
