Make Your Travel Wellness a Priority With Jet Renewal Kit

Elderberry and probiotics — these are two things that I happily ingest daily to keep my immune system fortified. So, when I learned that Jet Renewal Kit (JRK) incorporates both into their wellness product for travelers, I was curious to give it a try.

Before I share more of my thoughts, keep in mind that I’m providing them from the perspective of a traveler eager to find ways to stay healthy. I’m not a medical professional. (And FYI, the company did provide me with complimentary product to try.)  

Here’s how it works… Each JRK pouch includes 10 strips, and you use one strip per flight. Each strip contains a segment of supplements that you take before, during, and after the flight. This is the breakdown of what you take: 

  • The departure elderberry probiotic capsule and chewable probiotic are meant to “fuel your immune and digestive system.”

  • The mid-flight brocco-glutathione capsule and chewable probiotic are meant to “build up your defenses.”

  • The arrival elderberry probiotic capsule and brocco-glutathione capsule are meant to “support your energy and focus, and calm your mind.” 

I come from a family of scientists, and I’m hyper-vigilant about any supplements that I put into my body. Before I choose to use a product, I want to read the research behind it (and be made aware of any side effects that it might cause).

That’s why I was willing to try JRK. When you read through the research presented in the product FAQ, it makes sense to me how the elderberry and probiotics would be helpful. But, the research behind using the chewable probiotic, which stimulates saliva production and how that can impact your body’s digestive system is really interesting. 

Also, I’d never heard of brocco-glutathione, but it turns out it’s sourced from broccoli sprouts. And according to the FAQ, “glutathione is one of the most important molecules in the body because it protects cells from the damaging effects of toxins and oxidative stress. It is a critical regulator of immune function and detoxification.” 

So, here’s my verdict. I’ve tried JRK on multiple domestic flights over the course of the last several months. (Due to COVID, none of these have been international. That’s unfortunate, as I’d really like to see how taking it impacts jet lag.) I’ve had no issues with the the supplements, and I’ve always ended up feeling healthy post-flight. 

Now, I can’t tell you if that’s because of JRK — or if it’s because of all of the other things I do for my wellness, ranging from eating vegetables to practicing yoga to getting more than eight hours of sleep most nights. But, what I will say is that now more than ever, I want to keep my immune system in fighting form. And, based on my experience, I would gladly take JRK again as another layer of support in the fight to keep me healthy and well!
